He was heavily active in his church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and Boy Scout Troop 686. Mrs. Bird cherished her love for her late husband and love of her life, Harold. She was known to be a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She possessed a great appreciation for animals, especially birds and had a hobby of gardening. Bernice was open-minded and always kept the ability to change with the world around her.
